Alexis Sanchez to Real Madrid set to trigger three other deals

Sanchez is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season with the Chile international determined to leave north London for a new challenge elsewhere.

The 28-year-old nearly left in the summer but, despite agreeing a fee for the player, Manchester City missed out on their priority transfer target.

And Spanish outlet Don Balon say Real Madrid are determined to hijack any City move for Sanchez at the end of the current campaign.

Los Blancos have long retained an interest in Arsenal star Sanchez dating back to his time in La Liga with fierce rivals Barcelona.

They opted against pursuing the forward when he joined Arsenal in 2014.

Yet Real are confident they can beat City and secure Sanchez’s arrival on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Don Balon say, however, that any move to the Bernabeu is likely to trigger three other transfer deals.

Real signing Sanchez would no doubt spell an end to Gareth Bale’s Spanish adventure.

The Wales international has been plagued by injuries in recent years and, with patience wearing thin, Los Blancos may offload him to Manchester United, Chelsea or Tottenham at the end of the season.

Additionally, Arsenal would apparently make Karim Benzema their replacement for Sanchez.

And that would mean Real needing to splash the cash again.

Tottenham striker Harry Kane is their No1 target, and Spurs could lose their talisman should the current La Liga and Champions League holders come calling.
