Bayern Munich ‘rule out Mauricio Pochettino appointment’

Bayern Munich have reportedly ruled out bringing in former Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager.
The Bavarian giants have been without a permanent head coach since they sacked Niko Kovac last month, while Pochettino has been out of work since being replaced at Spurs by Jose Mourinho.

The Argentine had been heavily linked with the job in Germany but now Bild reports that he is no longer a contender.

The news is likely to come as a boost to Arsenal and Manchester United, who are both thought to be tracking Pochettino ahead of potential approaches in the coming weeks.

With Pochettino and Arsene Wenger now out of the running for the Bayern job, the other contenders are Thomas Tuchel, Ralf Rangnick and Erik ten Hag, although the most likely option at the moment is interim coach Hansi Flick continuing for the next few months.
