Javier Mendez expressed eagerness for Conor McGregor’s UFC return with the hope of witnessing his defeat, citing personal reservations about McGregor’s character
Javier Mendez, the seasoned coach of Khabib Nurmagomedov, has conveyed his interest in witnessing Conor McGregor’s potential return to the UFC.
Mendez, however, has a distinct motivation behind his desire – he hopes to witness McGregor face defeat in the octagon.
The history between McGregor and Nurmagomedov is renowned for being one of the most intense rivalries in UFC’s annals.
McGregor succumbed to a submission in the fourth round of their infamous clash, which was further marred by a post-fight brawl between the two camps, perpetuating the animosity.
Despite McGregor’s arch-nemesis retiring, the Irishman has not ceased taking verbal shots at Nurmagomedov.
Mendez, having observed this ongoing feud, now eagerly anticipates McGregor’s return to the octagon, predicting a bout against Michael Chandler.
Mendez conveyed his thoughts, stating, “I think McGregor-Chandler happens because Conor’s too much of a fighter not to fight again.”
“I’d love to see him fight, but I’d love to see him lose too. I’d like to see him fight because I’d like to see him lose because I don’t think he’s a good person.”
