Premier League Table Without VAR: Manchester United And Tottenham Drop Down, Arsenal Climb

LiVARpool, VARchester United – there’s a perception that some Premier League clubs have gained from VAR’s introduction this season, while others have suffered.

A league table based on match results that ignores VAR’s interference bears that out too. One of the biggest beneficiaries have been Manchester United, currently seventh and three points off fourth, who might be languishing in 11th in a VAR-less league.

Sure enough, the Blues are one of the VAR sufferers this season, losing out on a potential three more points.

The widespread view that Liverpool have been VAR gainers is also correct – to an extent. They would only be four points worse off according to the table compiled by talkSPORT, slashing their lead against Manchester City – who’ve had their VAR miseries – to 15 points.
